Quick Gluten-free Pear Crisp for 1

I made this today because I wanted something more than just a piece of pear. Try it if you like cinnamon and fruit! (who dosent? :P)

1/2-1 pear of your choice. I used a bartlett pear that was slightly past it's prime, which makes for more flavor imo.
1/4 cup water
dash salt
1/8 tsp saigon cinnamon
to taste; agave syrup, xylitol, or stevia
1/2 tsp gluten-free cornstarch or arrowroot

1 tbsp gluten-free oats or granola, optional

Dice pear into bite sized pieces. Place in small pan with water, salt, cinnamon and sweetener of choice.

Bring to a boil for a moment, reduce to low and simmer a few minutes until the pear is tender.
Dissolve cornstarch or arrowroot in a small amount of additional cold water, stir into pear water.
Continue simmering until thickened; serve and top with oats or granola.
